Lios Secures €6.25 Million EIC Accelerator Funding to Scale SoundBounce

We’re delighted to share some incredible news: Lios has been awarded €6.25 million in funding from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator Programme to help bring our breakthrough acoustic material, SoundBounce, to commercial scale.

This funding is a major milestone for us. It’s the result of over a decade of research, development, and unwavering determination to solve one of industry’s toughest problems: harmful noise and vibration.

From our earliest days, Eimear and I set out to challenge the status quo of how noise is managed in environments from construction sites to aerospace systems. SoundBounce reduces noise in a way traditional materials simply can’t, offering powerful noise reduction without the bulk and weight that limit existing solutions.

With this funding, we will:

  • Launch pilot production to meet growing demand from partners and customers

  • Expand our team with new talent across production, R&D, engineering, and commercial roles

  • Accelerate our journey toward making quieter, safer, and more sustainable products and environments worldwide

Only 40 companies were selected in this highly competitive EIC Accelerator round, and we’re incredibly proud to be recognised as one of Europe’s most promising deep-tech ventures tackling global challenges.

This moment also belongs to our brilliant team, our partners, and everyone who has believed in our mission. Thank you for helping us get here.

We’ll soon be hiring! If you’re passionate about acoustics, advanced materials, climate tech, or simply love solving hard problems we’d love to hear from you. Get in touch at jobs@lios-group.com or connect with us here on LinkedIn to stay up to date.

Here’s to building a quieter, greener future.
